Five years after the CRL Commission began hearing testimony from victims of abuse at the KwaSizabantu Mission, and two years after legal proceedings began over the final report on the investigations, there has now been a spectacular turn of events in the KSB affair. Members of the CRL and representatives of the KSB victims agreed at a meeting in Johannesburg that, on the one hand, all legal disputes and claims for damages would be dropped and, on the other hand, the published KwaSizabantu report would be withdrawn without reservation. For the victims of abuse at the KwaSizabantu Mission, this is long-awaited news.
