A number of years ago the following incident took place at Kwasizabantu Mission:
A boy was accused of committing a certain “sinful” deed, which violated one of the rules of Domino Servite School. This school is situated at Kwasizabantu Mission and was founded by Erlo Stegen.
The boy was consequently expelled from the school and instructed to leave immediately.
After he left KSB’s premises, the boy walked to the main road where he was offered a lift in a bypassing vehicle.
While the vehicle was travelling in the direction of Greytown, it was involved in a road accident. The boy died as a result of his injuries.
The following Sunday, during the morning service in the Auditorium, Erlo Stegen told his audience about this boy who had been expelled and how he died.
Erlo then contemptuously stated that the boy’s death was God’s punishment and judgement upon him, because of the “sin” he had committed.
A few years later a young man – who had attended Domino Servite School during the time when the boy was expelled – came to KSB and confessed with tears that he had been the one who had committed the “sinful” deed of which this boy had been accused.
This injustice with regards to the expelled boy was never put right. Instead, the whole matter was covered up. Erlo Stegen never publicly cleared the expelled boy‘s name or retracted the judgement he had publicly pronounced upon him.
The following questions can be asked:
Were the expelled boy’s parents informed that their son had been falsely accused and unrightfully expelled?
Did those who falsely accused and expelled the boy ever apologize to his parents?
When Jesus Christ pronounced judgement, it was not upon children, but upon the church leaders of that time:
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. (Mat 23:27) (KJV)
